Hi there, I’m Mari
I wasn't always a professional photographer, but have always been an artist in different ways. Design, music, creation, and visual composition, (among others) have always been a part of my life, both personally and professionally. I was born in Brazil in 1981, but I have been living in Stockholm long enough to call it home. Proud mom to two wonderful boys, and at the age of 11 and 14, they inspire me every single day. My interest in newborn photography came along when my oldest son was born. Now, after 13 years of experience in the field, I can only thank them for guiding me into my biggest passion. My job requires patience, effort, and empathy. My photos are inspired by emotions and love. I want you to feel like you're in the company of a friend. I'll gently guide you when required, encourage you, and proudly show you the magic we are creating behind the camera along the way. Your happiness is my number one priority.

Before shooting these pictures I was not at peace with the changes in my body. Going through pregnancy was harder than I could imagine and I would say a little spark was missing in my soul. I am being completely honest when I say that session with Mariana changed my perception on the out and inside! I saw my body in another light and I remembered to focus on that incredible little life growing inside of me.
From the first meeting to the last hour of shooting, a part of me transformed. Me and my husband came closer then ever, I became proud of my pregnancy body and Mariana left me thinking there is True magic in some people.

Mariana photographed my two pregnancies, two newborns, and family photoshoots.
The pictures she took of us were simply gorgeous. I have a bunch of them printed and hanging on our home’s walls.
During the photoshoot sessions, Mariana made us relax enough to shoot natural moments, which I thought would be impossible, and even awkward. She is really great with people, and her work is heart-touching.
