The session is focused on individual newborn poses but I also include some beautiful family and sibling photos.
Usually, I’m in that small bunch of the first people to hold your baby other than yourselves and your midwives, I take that as such an honor, so thank you!
This session requires patience and experience and it can take from 3hrs to 5hrs. I like to leave plenty of time for extra feedings, nappy changes, and bouts of general uneasiness. It may seem like a long time, but it’s important that babies are well-settled and relaxed.
All clothes, props, backdrops, and decorations are included. I have an impressive collection of props and years of experience in creating the most magical and exclusive settings just for your baby.
Before you arrive I will create 5 different settings based on some reference pictures that you will send to me during the booking process so that we have a starting point. The settings will include both posed and wrapped ideas. Once you arrive, I will walk you through my ideas and together we can make any adjustments to best suit you if needed.
This session includes pictures with parents and siblings (if any). And also personal styling + hair & makeup for mom to make this an unforgettable experience after those tuff last weeks of pregnancy and first weeks with a newborn at home. As a mom and woman, I fully understand that we don´t feel like ourselves during this time and I will gladly make sure to spoil the mom and give her all the glam and sparkle she deserves.
Please be assured that even if your baby gets fuzzy, I am always relaxed. This session is supposed to be a special experience for everyone involved and I don’t want you to feel stressed or under pressure if the baby starts to cry.

I’ve photographed hundreds of newborn babies, so if you choose me as your newborn photographer your baby will be in the safest of hands!
When to book
The best time to book your newborn session is during your 3rd trimester. The closer to your due date, the busier you will be and there is the risk I might be fully booked, once I only take a certain amount of newborn sessions per week.
If your baby is already born, please contact me as soon as possible. I usually have a waiting list for last minute bookings and I will do my best to find a time to schedule you in.
How to book
Unless you are having a scheduled c-section, you are not going to know when your baby will be born.
I reserve your due date on my schedule to ensure your session.
The best time to book your newborn session is during your 3rd trimester. The closer to your due date, the busier you will be and there is the risk I might be fully booked, once I only take a certain amount of newborn sessions per week.
I will e-mail you a contract of agreement and booking fee instructions.
Once the booking fee is paid and you answer the agreement email your booking is confirmed.
As soon as your baby is born, have someone inform me about the great news within the first 3 days and I will arrange your final session day between 8 and 15 days after birth. Newborn babies can be photographed up to 6 weeks old. Keep in mind that the older your baby is, the more we might need to adapt some poses that suit them best. After 6 weeks old, I recommend booking a family session instead.

It was our first photosession for our newborn. We had such an amazing experience thanks to Mariana. She is so humble and professional. We felt so safe letting her taking care of the baby while photographing. She also takes time to make sure that both parents are calm.
